I have dedicated my career to helping individuals and couples navigate life's ups and downs, using therapy to gain clarity, increase quality of day-to-day life and cultivate a sense of control over their lives. I provide clients with a safe space to explore their emotions and experiences. I am passionate and experienced in Tailoring therapy to meet the unique needs of each client and helping couples build healthier relationship. With me, therapy is never a one-size-fits all approach. I have been a psychotherapist for a decade now and I love what I do! I am committed to using my unique perspective to help my clients navigate their mental health challenges, barriers in relationships and understand their role in life better. I offer a tailored and inclusive space for clients to explore their emotions and experiences. My mission is to help individuals overcome anxiety, depression, and life stress with compassion and understanding.
I received my master’s in clinical counseling and Depth psychotherapy from the Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbra California. My clinical experience during my education, internship phase of my career and post licensure reflects my specializations. For the first five years of my clinical career, I work with couples to help building health relationships and assertiveness bases communication skills building. At that same time in my career, I worked with individual clients in focused on short-term skill building and solution focused treatment and long-term deeper psychological work of healing sources of pain and origins of symptomology. That balance of short term solutions and bigger picture and deeper healing in present in how I work with client still today. As part of my first three years in Denver, I worked exclusively with male clients and Denver Men’s Therapy. Throughout my 10 years as a psychotherapist, I have been passionate about working with the LGBTQ+ community.
Therapy Styles and Approach
I pull from a handful of different therapeutic theories and orientations to support my clients best based on what they are seeking.
Many clients first come to therapy to address a specific stressor, set of symptoms or challenge in their lives. In those therapeutic relationships, I share tools and skills from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialogical Behavioral Therapy and Trauma Resiliency Model that I utilized while working in short-term therapy settings. For some client’s that is enough, and therapy stops there.
For other clients after the initial phase of treatment goals are met, or for clients seeking more traditional therapy, I utilize Jungian Analytic, Psychodynamic and Depth clinical orientations. This work helps clients achieve a deeper understanding of who they are and the formative origins how they see the world.
All the while I provide an active and engage presence as a therapist to ensure clients feel supported, understood and validated in their journey.
Over the years I have honed my skills to effectively support individuals facing various mental health concerns. My approach is empathetic and tailored to each client's unique needs, allowing them to feel heard and supported on their journey to healing.
